DabJuice.com Explained

Nathan Smith, the founder of Dab Juice (with a space), established his brand in 2017 after successfully trademarking the term "Dab Juice" earlier that year. State records confirm that there was no prior online use of the trademark at the time of its registration, solidifying Nathan's claim as the first to legally establish the term. It is important to clarify that Nathan Smith is not associated with DabJuice.com, a separate entity that has claimed a founding date of 2009—a claim that has fluctuated over time and remains unverified.

Nathan initially operated under the name Dab Juice Boi LLC (also known as DJuiceBoi LLC) before transitioning to the company name Dab Juice LLC. His product, distinct from DabJuice.com's offerings, represents a unique innovation in the industry. Notably, DabJuice.com later trademarked the term "DabJuice" (without a space), which Nathan believes may have been an attempt to challenge his original trademark or capitalize on the name's popularity; as the website was available for sale when he began his Dab Juice journey.

Nathan has expressed respect for DabJuice.com's branding and product evolution, including their later trademark for "Dab Juice Honeycut," which reflects a shift from their original use of "DabJuice" to describe distillate. However, he has been disappointed by their lack of professionalism, including their refusal to engage in dialogue despite his repeated attempts to reach out via email or phone.

Nathan Smith coined the term "Dab Juice" (with a space), while DabJuice.com coined "DabJuice" (without a space). Nathan remains proud of his contributions to the industry and his pioneering work with the Dab Juice product, which differs significantly from DabJuice.com's offerings. He hopes for a constructive resolution and emphasizes the importance of integrity and collaboration in the cannabis industry, which he believes is a vital medicinal field.

Nathan's journey underscores the challenges of navigating trademarks and branding in a competitive market, and he remains committed to protecting his intellectual property while advocating for professionalism and respect within the industry.
